Case studies

Most of the testing and development was done using the logfiles of a large commercial site.

Logfiles from a number of equal time periods (3 days) were taken and the results were compared.
Most of the groups appeared in all the tests; their size stayed approximately the same. However, they can belong to different higher level clusters. The stability of the group depended on its size.

The size of smaller groups could fluctuate greatly, or they could disappear completely.
I viewed groups smaller than 10 visitors as insignificant.

As I do not have the permission to make the results for this site public, I cannot cite them as examples, so I only use as case studies the results of the examination of other sites which are not as large.
