fh54.de until 03.2005
Open the static result page in the Internet Explorer and read the comments and explanations below.
Until March 2005 there were 4 different resources on this site:
-
the main page was the WinToHTML treemenu generator program (URL: /htmltreemenu/pages/index.php),
-
the scripts "Suggest As You Type" (URL: /js/inputsuggest/input_with_suggest.php),
-
the HTMLCode Converter (URL: /vb/htmlCodeConverter/),
-
and the Cat Calendar (URL: /cats/index.php).
On the left panel only groups which constitute more than 1% of the total number of visitors are shown.
In the dynamic version you can zoom in and see the groups up to 0.5%. (The tree size increases drastically.)
From bottom to top:
- Cluster de - visitors of the German version of WinToHTML
- Cluster vb - visitors of the HTML Code Converter
- Cluster cats - visitors of the Cat Calendar
- Main cluster - visitors of the mainpage WinToHTML and of the script "Suggest As You Type". Because the visitors sometimes click both of these URLs, they share one high-level cluster.
- The cluster index - the visitors look at the first page and stop there.
Important - this group of visitors is lost to the site owner.
- The cluster related to the WinToHTML:
- the sectioning in this group shows that the most interesting pages for the user are Samples and Download.
There are users who look at all 3 samples, at 1 sample or only at the sample folder. There is also the group of those who visit Download without looking at samples.
And finally, there is the "very good" group all - the visitors who look at the most menu items. Unfortunately, this group is only 1% big.
- The cluster related to the script "Suggest As You Type"
- The group "index, input_suggest, Multilang" must be recognized as accidental. The detailed and zoomed treatment in the dynamic version shows that the group evolves from 2 subgroups [index.php + Multilingual version + HTML Code Converter] and ["Suggest As You Type" + HTML Code Converter], which really are different.
Clicking on the bottom link "Show as a map" opens a diagram with the another representation of clustering result. Here you can see the proportions of clusters.
The proportions are distorted if there are subgroups in the group: the margins make the group wider.
